Take A Stand

Oh, how great is Your goodness, which You have laid up for those who fear, revere, and worship You, goodness which You have wrought for those who trust and take refuge in You before the sons of men! Psalm 31:19 (AMPC)

The phrase "before the sons of men" in today’s verse basically means in front of other people. If you’ll not be just a closet Christian but live for Jesus openly before others, God will store up His goodness for you and show Himself strong in your life.

Many Christians aren't comfortable talking about their faith. We all have moments where we don't take a stand for God like we should, maybe because we’re afraid of being rejected, isolated, or made fun of.

It can feel awkward to say, "I really don't want to hear a dirty joke. I'm not interested in going to an R-rated movie, or hitting the bars after work; that's not what I'm about. I’m a Christian, and my relationship with God is too important to me."

We shouldn’t be lukewarm, wishy-washy Christians …. we need to be open about our faith. If there’s an area of life where you’re struggling to stand up for what’s right, ask God to help you grow bolder, and He will.

When you take an uncompromising stand for Christ, His grace will always follow.
